Intel's International Science & Engineering Fair

So Matt and I just got back from Pittsburgh, where we were two of the many Navy Special Awards Judges at the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF).  We saw lots of interesting projects and most of the ones we liked won an award, if not from the Navy, they got an award from someone else.

Also, it was great because we were in Pittsburgh for several days, so we got to sightsee as well as judge.  The only bad thing was that it was pouring down rain the entire time we were driving up there; I was really glad that Matt did the driving!

Here are a few pictures we took as we checked out the city...

On our drive to Pittsburgh.  The mist over the hills was cool - looked like something out of a movie!

Fort Pitt Museum right across the street from our hotel.

Matt walking along one of the rivers, right next to the Fort Pitt Museum.

There are bridges all over the place!

This is a trolley that takes people up to the overlook points.  We went up this trolley with another Navy family there for ISEF.

One of the views from the overlook.  The orangish building at the right hand of the picture is the trolley station.

Us at the overlook.

More bridges!

I was so scared to go out there - that overlook point had nothing underneath it.
