Anchors not-so-aweigh

So honey and I went on a tour of the USS Normandy. It's an AEGIS class cruiser that's anchored in the bay for commissioning week.

My personal favorite (this is the stern of the ship)

This is the Academy barge that took us out to where the cruiser was

Part of the Harry S. Truman Strike Group. Taken just as we were going back ashore.

Our first real look at the cruiser

Right as we're coming aboard

The helo pad that can handle 2 choppers

Inside the bridge

This one was on the floor of the bridge....it should be self explanatory.

...And this is the one picture I was able to get of honey on the cruiser.

And this was our last view of the USS Normandy as we left for shore.

It was a really nice tour, and we're both really glad we went aboard. Now it's anchors aweigh for them!
