So quite a bit has happened since we last blogged.
First, baby showers...we had two: one back home and one here in Annapolis. They were both lovely, and everyone was so generous!
Both grandmothers to be. |
Both aunts to be. |
One of the hostesses and my best friend. |
The shower at Annapolis was a gender reveal, and we revealed through the cake. When I cut into it, there was blue icing. A little boy! |
Yeah, I got that big... |
But then, we went in for the 40 week appointment, and they sent us over to the hospital to get induced. They started the pitocin at 7:30 PM. My water broke at 11:40 PM. 2:06 AM, we had a baby!
Minutes after he was born. |
This was the day he was born - we were both exhausted! |
When he was almost 24 hours old, he was taken to the NICU. This is him with his IV. I felt so bad seeing him like this. |
Mommy coming to visit him in the NICU. |
This was after his IV was taken out, but he was still in the NICU. |
Finally home! |
...With a little sleep in his eye... |
So now, there are five of us. Two dogs and a little boy.
Yesterday was his two week appointment, and he's doing great. He's a pound heavier than his birth weight, so he's packing it on nicely. He's still getting fussy at times, but overall, each day gets a little better....and we get a little more sleep!
