So honey and I went on a tour of the USS Normandy. It's an AEGIS class cruiser that's anchored in the bay for commissioning week. | |
The bow of the ship |
View from behind the bridge |
One small part of the radar system |
Out to sea! |
A sailor keeping an eye on the surrounding boats |
My personal favorite (this is the stern of the ship) |
This is the Academy barge that took us out to where the cruiser was |
Part of the Harry S. Truman Strike Group. Taken just as we were going back ashore. |
More of the radar system |
Our first real look at the cruiser |
Right as we're coming aboard |
The helo pad that can handle 2 choppers |
The view from the bridge. |
Inside the bridge |
This one was on the floor of the bridge....it should be self explanatory. |
...And this is the one picture I was able to get of honey on the cruiser. |
And this was our last view of the USS Normandy as we left for shore. |
It was a really nice tour, and we're both really glad we went aboard. Now it's anchors aweigh for them!
